As hundreds of boats headed out for a delayed start of the lobster season on Tuesday morning no major problems were being reported in Shelburne County 

Several incidents were being reported elsewhere, including a boat sinking during the night at the wharf in Port Maitland, Yarmouth County. Officials at the Rescue Coordination Centre in Halifax also reported that a crewmember in Digby County had fallen overboard but had been brought back on board and was being taken to Yarmouth Regional Hospital by helicopter because he was hypothemic from being in the cold water.

Several boats in Shelburne County had reported suffering mechanical problems and were being towed back to port.
