GREENLAND HALIBUT FISHERY 2+3K FIXED GEAR AUGUST FISHERY
DFO advises that the Greenland halibut (turbot) fishery in NAFO Divisions 2+3K is scheduled to open early August.
In order for DFO to gage the level of interest and to finalize management measures for this fishery, fish harvesters wishing to participate in this fishery must submit their intention to fish to DFO by fax or email no later than 8 p.m. on Thursday July 19.
Fish harvesters are required to indicate their choice of area 2GH, 2J or 3K (one area only).
A confirmation number will be issued to harvesters confirming his/her intention to fish.
Pending the level of interest in this fishery a draw for permits may be required. The following contact information should be used by fish harvesters to indicate their intention to fish with their choice of area as outlined above.
